Q: Could Mortgage
Grade®r
be described as a low cost trusted advisor, similar
to a fee only financial planner?
A: Yes, that is
a good description. Different states view our
service differently. As a matter of law in California,
for example, we are licensed as a real estate
broker, regulated by the Calif. Dept. Of Real
Estate License # 01144024.
Q: What’s so different
about Mortgage Grader®
than the internet sites that list lenders
and their rates?
A: Those internet
sites show retail prices. Mortgage
Grader®
reveals the same wholesale prices that Mortgage
Brokers receive. (Similar to receiving the auto
dealers’ car cost before you go car shopping).
Our objective is for you to see our markup is
exactly the same, regardless of which lender you
choose.
Q. Any other differences?
A: Yes. We give
you all encompassing pricing based upon your personal
reality – from down payment, fico scores,
income, debts, rate-lock period you’ll need,
etc. Those other sites tend to display a general
one price fits all that is only a guess without
having any meaningful prior knowledge about you.
Q: Isn’t
Mortgage Grader®
empowering mortgage shoppers
to do true side-by-side comparisons in order to
make very meaningful decisions, cost saving and
time saving decisions?
A: Yes. Out of the
multitude of lenders we use, you will know which
lender in our network has the best price on the
exact loan you are seeking in one easy session.
Q: Do you share or sell
all of my personal and private information to
whomever you choose in exchange for me getting
competitive lender and mortgage broker bids?
A: Never. We are
your information gatekeepers. Under our agreement
with you, you will know exactly what the rate
quotes are and exactly who the lenders are. Only
with your permission, we will release your information
only to the exact lender that you choose.
Q: Can you really hide
my identity, showing me the best priced wholesale
lenders in your network with just one credit report
being run?
A: Yes. No lender
knows who you are until we deliver the loan package
to them.
Q: Once I pick a lender
and direct you to submit my loan for approval,
will they run a separate credit report?
A: It depends on
the lender. Some will accept our credit report,
others may, for their own quality control purposes,
recheck your credit with a separate inquiry, (a
more common industry practice).
